Use your own web address

Point a domain you own at your app, with a security certificate issued automatically.

Your app starts at something.picocloud.app. You can put it on your own address instead — mytool.com, or app.mybusiness.com.

Custom addresses are part of the Hobby plan and above. The free plan uses picocloud.app addresses.

How to do it

  1. Open your app and add the domain you own.
  2. We show you the exact DNS records to add — copy them exactly as shown.
  3. Go to wherever you bought the domain and add those records.
  4. Come back and press Check DNS.

Then wait a little

DNS changes are not instant. Usually a few minutes; occasionally up to an hour. Pressing Check DNS again is safe and costs nothing.

Once it verifies, we get a security certificate for you automatically, so your address works with https:// and shows a padlock. There is nothing to buy, install or renew — it renews itself.

It says "awaiting DNS" and will not move on

  • Check for typos. A record pasted with a missing character will never verify.
  • Watch for an added domain name. Some registrars append your domain automatically, turning _picocloud.mytool.com into _picocloud.mytool.com.mytool.com. If yours does that, enter just the first part.
  • Give it time. If everything looks right, wait half an hour and check again.

Still stuck after that? Send us the domain name and we will look at what your DNS is actually returning.
